This Privacy Policy explains how COPTXT ("COPTXT", "we", "us", or "our"), operated by Sitech Experts LTD, handles information when you use the COPTXT desktop application, visit COPTXT.com, or contact us.

COPTXT is committed to minimizing the collection of personal information and to using personal information only where reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and support the service.

1. Scope of this Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to:

the COPTXT Windows desktop application;
the website available at https://coptxt.com/;
communications you send to us, including support and feedback requests;
analytics and technical information generated when visiting the website;
future official COPTXT download or distribution pages that link to this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, applications, platforms, or services that may be linked from COPTXT or COPTXT.com.

2. The COPTXT Desktop Application

COPTXT is designed as a lightweight Windows desktop utility.

Text and clipboard content

COPTXT may process text that you copy, paste, type, save temporarily, or otherwise provide to the application in order to perform its functions.

This may include features such as:

pasting text into another application;
working with multiple tabs;
temporarily storing text through features such as Keep for Later;
generating passwords;
interacting with the Windows clipboard.

This content is processed locally on your device as part of the normal operation of the application.

COPTXT does not intentionally transmit the content you paste, text stored in tabs, Keep for Later content, clipboard content, or generated passwords to COPTXT servers as part of its normal functionality.

You are responsible for deciding what information you enter into COPTXT and where that information is subsequently pasted or used.

Password Generator

The built-in Password Generator creates passwords locally for your use.

COPTXT does not intentionally transmit generated passwords to us as part of the normal operation of the application.

Once a password is copied, pasted, saved, or entered into another application, the handling of that password is subject to the security and privacy practices of your device and the destination application.

Local application data

Certain application settings or temporary state may be stored locally on your computer where required for application functionality.

Local application data is not considered information received by Sitech Experts LTD unless it is separately transmitted to us, for example when you voluntarily include it in a support request.

3. Information We May Collect Through COPTXT.com

When you visit COPTXT.com, Sitech Experts LTD may process limited technical and usage information.

Depending on the website configuration and services enabled at the time of your visit, this may include:

IP address;
approximate geographic location;
browser type and version;
operating system;
device type;
screen or viewport information;
referring website or source;
pages viewed;
date and time of requests;

interaction events;

When Google Analytics is enabled, it helps Sitech Experts LTD understand how visitors use the website so that we can measure traffic, identify technical problems, and improve the site.

Information Google Analytics may process

Depending on our configuration, Google Analytics may process information such as:

approximate geographic location;

We do not intentionally send text processed by the COPTXT desktop application, passwords, clipboard contents, or other application content to Google Analytics.

According to Google's documentation, Google Analytics does not log or store individual IP addresses in Analytics.

Google Analytics cookies

When analytics storage is permitted, Google Analytics may use first-party cookies.

Used to maintain session state.

Default expiration: up to 2 years.

Actual cookie duration may be shorter depending on browser restrictions, consent settings, configuration, or user actions.

Analytics consent

Where applicable law requires consent before analytics cookies or similar technologies are used, Sitech Experts LTD intends to request that consent before enabling analytics storage.

You may refuse or withdraw analytics consent where such an option is provided.

COPTXT.com asks for this choice in a banner when you first visit. Analytics storage stays denied until you select "Accept analytics", and Google Analytics is loaded only after that. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time through the "Cookie settings" link in the site footer. Withdrawing consent returns analytics storage to denied and deletes the _ga cookies described above.

Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage under the name coptxt_analytics_consent so that the banner is not shown again. It is stored only in your browser and is removed if you clear your browsing data for this site.

Disabling analytics cookies does not prevent you from using the core COPTXT website.

Google Analytics retention

User-level and event-level Google Analytics data is retained for a limited period according to our Google Analytics configuration and will not be intentionally configured to exceed the retention options available for a standard GA4 property.

Certain aggregated statistical reports may remain available for longer periods because they do not necessarily contain the same user-level information.

Google's processing

Google may process Analytics information on behalf of Sitech Experts LTD in accordance with its applicable terms, data-processing arrangements, and privacy practices.

Google's infrastructure may process information in countries other than the country where you live.

Where legally required, appropriate safeguards for international data transfers are used by the relevant parties.

COPTXT.com may use cookies or similar browser technologies for:

12. Microsoft Store and Other Distribution Platforms

COPTXT may be distributed through the Microsoft Store or another authorized software distribution platform.

When you interact with such a platform, the platform may independently process information relating to:

device;
downloads;
installation;
purchases, if applicable;
application usage;
diagnostics;
crash reports;
security.

That processing is controlled by the relevant platform and is subject to its own privacy policy and terms.

Information collected independently by Microsoft or another platform is not necessarily information that Sitech Experts LTD receives.

If a future version of COPTXT introduces application telemetry, crash reporting, automatic update checking, or another network-based feature operated by Sitech Experts LTD, this Privacy Policy will be updated as appropriate.

13. Data Retention

Sitech Experts LTD retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information.

support correspondence may be retained while a request is active and for a reasonable period afterward;

In particular, the desktop application is designed so that its core text-processing functions operate locally rather than requiring users to submit the text they are processing to a Sitech Experts LTD or COPTXT server.

We may periodically review the information collected through the website and supporting services to determine whether it remains necessary.

Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights relating to your personal information.

Some browsers provide "Do Not Track" signals, and some provide privacy preference mechanisms such as Global Privacy Control ("GPC").

Because Sitech Experts LTD does not currently sell personal information or intentionally share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, there is currently no such activity to opt out of through these signals.

Where applicable law requires us to recognize a browser-based privacy preference signal for future processing, we will do so as required.

Browser-level cookie controls may also be used to restrict or delete Analytics cookies.

COPTXT is not specifically directed to children.

Sitech Experts LTD does not knowingly use COPTXT.com to collect personal information from children for marketing or profiling purposes.

Accessibility widget

COPTXT.com uses the AccessiYes accessibility widget, provided by CookieYes Limited, which offers visitors user-controlled accessibility adjustments such as text size, spacing, contrast and cursor options.

The widget is loaded from AccessiYes/CookieYes infrastructure. According to the AccessiYes documentation, the accessibility preferences you choose are stored locally in your own browser.

Sitech Experts LTD does not intentionally use the widget for advertising or analytics, and it is separate from the analytics consent described above. As with any file requested from another provider, technical network information such as an IP address may necessarily be processed by the relevant infrastructure provider in order to deliver the widget.

Sitech Experts LTD may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:
